Hey everyone! I've discussed this once before on my blog, but,...How many 'disposable' items do you buy?
We all buy toilet paper I'm sure, but do you buy paper towels, wipes, paper plates, etc?

I don't buy disposable items EXCEPT toilet paper and paper plates. We do use paper plates round here a good bit specially in the summer. Don't usually fill up the land fills with them though, I burn them. I don't buy styrofoam, my son would kill me! LOL
So what disposable items do you life with and without?

I do not buy napkins or paper towels other than the paper shop towels to clean my goats udder prior to milking. I was using cloths that had to be laundered and it was killing me. I do however use muslin strainer cloths for the milk.

I have oodles of homemade napkins that we use and just toss in the laundry. I rarely buy paper plates and if so it is paper only!! It makes my skin crawl when we eat out and get a to go box and it's styrofoam.

I also made me a bunch of really cute fabric shopping/market bags to keep from bringing home so many plastic bags from the grocer and I am really bad to forget and leave them in my car!!

Ya know Becky, I've been thinking of doing the same thing with the grocery bags. Making some and using those instead of getting that plastic stuff.
I will say though, that I recycle the plastic ones in my own way. I use them in every little trash can I have. All the bathroom ones, and the one we have in the living room between our chairs. They do come in handy for that.

After having no water all weekend..Im was grateful for the paper plates, really I was!!
