PostSubject: Oh my gosh, I lost my post!   Thu Oct 30, 2008 6:14 pm

I just wrote a whole post and lost it!! Grrrrr!!!! I don't know what happened!! Oh well, the gist of it was my cleaning and cooking for tonight for our friends that are moving away. Sad We are having a prime rib roast, mashed spuds and gravy, a corn casserole with cream and egg, onion, cheese...yummy!...salad with candied pecans, craisins, gorgonzola cheese, and raspberry vinagrette, homemade dills and black olives, french loaf loaded with garlic butter and cheese, LOTS of wine, and for dessert a danish apple bar and fresh whipped cream. Then tomorrow I have more company coming for something completely different. Saturday LEFTOVERS!! I'm pooped already.

So what are you planning for Halloween???

LOL! Can I come to YOUR house for dinner?? LOL

Halloween here will be just another day for me this year I'm afraid. Sad too ..cuz usually I do an annual BIG BASH each halloween..it's my favorite holiday!!

HOWEVER..I've had a headcold chasing me for about 2 weeks..this morning, it caught me..and moved into my chest. SO I've stayed in the bed..with rub and a heating pad on my chest..theraflu in my cup..(sigh) I don't need this for sure..and am going to do my best to get rid of it before my flight to NY!

Hope to be able to get online a bit more tomorrow!
Dinner sounds fabulous! I wanna come!

Till next time..

Oh Sage, sorry about the cold. I shouldn't even say this for fear of getting one, but I don't remember that last time I had a cold or flu. Touch wood.!!!! You get better there, no, you don't need that with your trip coming up!!

Dinner turned out great, if I do say so myself. The wine was good, company great, and all went well. Would have loved to have you here!! Smile Lots of food!! Tomorrow I have a 7 lb. chicken to roast with all the trimmings. Going to make some extra stuff for bro-in-law and dad, they miss those things and I'm the only one any more to make them. Long, sad story. It will be another busy day, but a labor of love.

Yesterday I actually got my craft room cleaned up - not sure how long that will last (!) but it feels good. I also cleaned the pantry and 2 other nuisance cupboards, embarassingly threw out a whole bag of out-dated stuff, mostly cereal and crackers. They just don't last. Got a handle on cleaning here, just not in the mood to be too gung-ho about it. Too many fun things to do!! LOL

Well, have a good night and take care of yourself. What did I read about putting Vicks on the bottom of your feet??? Try it, supposed to be wonderful for colds!!

Feel better.

LOL..and yes, I read about the bottom of the feet to!

I'm not using vicks, I'm using a homemade eucalyptus oil, but indeed I did put it on the bottom of my foot.
Trust me..I still hve the chest cold, no doubt, but it's not as heavy feeling today as it was yesterday..the cough is irritating of course, but I still don't feel quit as bad. SO maybe all the things I did..including the feet..the staying in bed and using the heating pad..may have worked to keep it from getting 'debilitating'..but alas, did not keep it away entirely. It will have to run it's course now, and I'm sure I'll end up keeping this nuisance of a cough for many moons..as I usually do.
The bad thing about it, is I've had to take 'two days off' (so far) from getting anything done around here..no crafts, no cleaning..no nothing! (cept watching tv and the back of my eyelids!)
Now..I'll be behind again! ARGHH!! lol

AHh well, we deal with what we are dealt. Smile
I'm glad your dinner turned out good..wish I lived close enough to have snuck in on ya! LOL..
