That I want to go ahead and put into a stitchery..so I started charting it out yesterday. I'm hoping I can take a 'take-along' work on the plane, but I bet they won't let me carry the needles and small scissors I use. I'll try, but we'll see!

Anyway..the blurb says:

"Bear not thy yesterday into tomorrow,
Nor load this week with last week's sorrow."

That's the newest!

A cross-stitch that says

"Many hands make light work"

I love it and have sewn it onto a piece of homespun. I have a black frame set aside for it, and am hoping to get to that tomorrow. I need another saying ..someting simple and sweet ..short and to the point, just like this one to make as a match to go with it since I have two identical frames. Thought I'd do something..ya know..semi-matching.

SOOOoo any ideas on old fashioned sayings, similar to the one above..would greatly ...

Well, I am up to my eyeballs in all sorts of things but I just framed 2 stitcheries for my shop. One says "Some people, no matter how old they get, never lost their beauty - they merely move it from their faces into their hearts." and the other one is "Family, a journey to forever". They are 2 of my favorites for sure. A friend makes me frames that are perfect, so I finish them and put them together. Just love stitchin', so rewarding. What are you working on these days?

I need to get started on this new baby quilt. I've got the second grandbaby, this time a girl, name to be Shannon due on Nov 21..I owe her a quilt and haven't cut the first square for it! ACK!!

So, my goal for next week is to get the design planned and get the squares cut out and at least started on putting the top together if not getting it all sewn together so that I can get it on the frame and get it quilted! You ladies will have to keep urging me on with this one!!

I'm currently in the process of doing a sampler. Don't have a pattern for it, just kinda doing some practice on some different stitches. I've got a book that simply has a list of all the many stitches you can do with embroidery, so thought I'd put together a sampler of the varied stitches. I'll post a pic on the blog as soon as I can get a little bit more done on it.

I plan on putting the alphabet on there too (as most samplers had) and making it look a little old with some tea/coffee stain. ...
