and 4 of a Pumpkin Nut bread (from the pumpkin I canned up this year)

I've tasted the pumpkin bread..and I must say..pretty darn good!!

Many of you know about our recent family tragedy and unfortunately this has taken a great amount of time from me in many forms. One never believes they will be involved with such a thing as this, but alas...it happens.

Up at 6 and I've already gotten my bathroom semi clean, my bed stripped with the sheets now washing. Two other loads of laundry done, my dishwasher emptied and the kitchen spiffed up. Clothes folded and just a plethora of other little things! (I'm tired already!) I wanted to hang out the clothes today, but it's looking a wee bit cloudy, so I'm piling them up in the basket and if I see the sun start to peek out, I'll run them to the line! ... G'mornin! We had a great day (on the 5th), we had the party combo shower going on here. Lots of people and good times. Fireworks later that night.

I've rested up from my adventures and am ready to start on something new I guess. Ok, ok, not new, NOW I need to get back into my routine and get my house clean! LOL

Summer is here for sure! I was surprised however, when I woke this morning to find it very cool outside! Odd for South Carolina on July 1st, but maybe it'll be a clue as to what I can HOPE for this weekend at our 4th celebration.

Hubby is off today (doc appt) and we are going to run into town (my first trip to town in a week or better) and pick up a few things at the grocery...maybe see what the farmers market has to offer as well. I need to pick up some cilantro (as I didn't grow my own this year) and some onions. I'm going to try my hand at some home made canned salsa! WOOHOOO! The lightening took our the water pump in the well house, and the coffee pot in the big house! The hubby knocked down the well house yesterday, (we were meaning to rebuild it anyway, so now is as good a time as any) the well man has been called and I'm expecting him sometime today, hubby has a doc appt this afternoon.......and when murphy visits, he visits hard doesn't he?
