Now..run down to the liquor store and get you some 'everclear' or any brand of 'grain alcohol'.

It has taken me this many years to consider another one, so this past spring I ordered several houses..unpainted. Now, my intention was to paint one every once in a while so that it would be done by this Christmas. BUT..that didn't happen.

Well, as promised to myself, I would make this a UFO week..as we all know UFO means unfinished objects. I've accomplished just that and even started something that I should have started months ago.

Ok..here's the list of accomplishments.

I finished that rag quilt that I started back in the spring

I framed a stitchery that I finished months ago

I went through all my 'sewing' supplies and got them organized

I finally hung a picture in my kitchen that was bought for the kitchen MONTHS ...

Broccoli will be high on the list of things to plant and grow. Cucumbers will be low on the list. (Maybe one or two plants for fresh salad use). I canned so many 'pickles' and such this year, that I wont need much the year after...

Tomatoes will be high on the list again this year, and bell peppers of course.

I don't know that we'll do corn again next year, since our crop this year got 'smut' and had to all be destroyed. Green beans are a possibility ...

(I do that on a large hoop in my lap, it's easier as it stays tighter). The baby is due late November and I'll be leaving for NY Nov 17, so it has to be done by then to travel with me. (or be shipped up before I go). I'm excited to get this one done..it's different then the last one I did for sure!

Or is it a depression??? I've got to admit that I'm getting a little spooked at the way things are going right now. Everything is crashing and it is very scary. I'm hoping that with both the American and Canadian elections coming close that things are going to take an upswing, but it doesn't look very promising. What do you think?????

I got most of my stuff done today, 3 loads of laundry, the sheets changed (dirty ones washed, dried and put away even..WOW!) Bathrooms all cleaned, kitchen up to par (could be better..but that's not till Wednesday (hehehe). We are planning on tossing some chicken on the grill tonight..not sure what I'm putting with it yet (mac-n-cheese is sounding good!)

Wow, the email that I got with the pictures of the devastation from Ike was just unbelievable. I really felt for those poor families who have lost everything, it is astounding. It makes one feel very humble and appreciate their safe home.

Since I had to run to the doc this morning. I've got a lovely ear infection again. ARGHH! Bad timing too since I have a Bar Mitzvah gig to do tomorrow! But at least I've got some meds and can start the healing process. Just hope it doesn't get too bad tomorrow!
But..since I'm not really in 'the pink' as they say, maybe I can con my hubby into going out to dinner tonight! MAYBE!!

So what are you ladies doing today? (Im' recouping!)
